A Game of Thrones adalah novel pertama dalam A Song of Ice and Fire, seri novel fantasi karya penulis Amerika George R. R. Martin. Novel ini pertama kali diterbitkan pada tanggal 1 Agustus 1996 dan telah memenangkan Locus Award 1997[2] dan dinominasikan untuk Nebula Award 1997 serta World Fantasy Award 1997.[2][3] Novelet Blood of the Dragon, yang menceritakan bab-bab Daenerys Targaryen dalam novel tersebut, memenangkan Hugo Award 1997 untuk kategori Novela Terbaik. Pada Januari 2011, novel tersebut masuk daftar New York Times Bestseller[4] dan memuncaki daftar tersebut pada Juli 2011.[5]
