Akbar Himawan Buchari[1] (lahir 25 November 1988) adalah mantan anggota DPRD Sumatera Utara Fraksi Golkar periode 2019-2024 yang saat ini menjabat sebagai Ketua Umum BPP HIPMI 2023-2025.
Pada usia yang terbilang muda, Akbar telah mengelola bisnis di berbagai bidang, di antaranya sebagai pimpinan perusahaan otobus (PO) Kurnia Anugerah Pusaka dengan armada sekitar 250 unit bus. Ia juga melakukan pengembangan bisnis ke bidang perkebunan kelapa sawit dan properti.[1]
Akbar juga dipercaya sebagai Ketua Umum Badan Pengurus Daerah Himpunan Pengusaha Muda Indonesia (HIPMI) Sumatera Utara setelah terpilih dalam Musda XV HIPMI Sumatera Utara pada 26 September 2014 yang berlangsung di Grand Aston Hotel Medan.[2]
Selain itu juga beliau merupakan putra daerah Aceh yang berasal dari Pidie.
