Akropolis Athena atau Citadel Athena adalah akropolis (dari bahasa Yunani: akros, akron,[1] ujung, akhir + polis, kota, jamak: akropoleis) yang paling terkenal di dunia. Meskipun ada banyak akropolis di Yunani, tetapi signifikansi Akropolis Athena sangat besar sampai-sampai kata akropolis kebanyakan merujuk pada akropolis ini. Akropolis ini secara resmi dinyatakan sebagai monumen unggulan dalam daftar monumen Pusaka Budaya Eropa pada 26 Maret 2007.[2] Akropolis ini adalah tebing berpuncak datar dengan ketinggian 150 m (490 ft) di atas permukaan laut di kota Athena, dengan area permukaan seluas 3 hektar. Tempat ini juga dikenal sebagai Kekropeia, yang namanya berasal dari nama Kekrops, raja pertama Athena yang dikisahkan berwujud separuh ular.
