Albert Fert
Albert Fert (lahir 7 Maret 1938) adalah fisikawan Prancis dan penemu efek GMR (Giant Magnetoresistance) yang membawa terobosan dalam gigabita cakram keras. Ia merupakan pengajar di Université Paris-Sud di Orsay dan direktur sains pada laboratorium bersama (Unité mixte de physique) antara Centre national de la recherche scientifique (Pusat Penelitian Nasional) dan Thales Group. Bersama Peter Grünberg, ia berhasil memperoleh Penghargaan Nobel dalam Fisika 2007.
