Alethinophidia (Ular biasa atau ular mutakhir) adalah infraordo ular yang tersebar luas di dunia. Semua ular-ular ini lebih maju daripada golongan Scolecophidia atau ular kawat karena mata ular Alethinophidia bisa digunakan, sedangkan mata ular kawat hampir tidak berfungsi.[1]
