Alkamenes

Patung kepala Hermes, salinan Romawi dari sebuah karya asli akhir abad ke-5 SM, inskripsi bagian depan menyatakan bahwa patung kepala tersebut dibuat oleh Alkamenes dan didedikasikan oleh Pergamios, Museum Istanbul.

Alkamenes (bahasa Yunani Kuno: Ἀλκαμένης) adalah seorang pemahat Yunani kuno dari Lemnos dan Athena, yang hidup pada paruh ke-2 abad ke-5 SM. Ia adalah orang sezaman dengan Fidias dan dikenal karena karya-karyanya yang menggambarkan Hephaestus dan Afrodit dari Taman-taman.[1]
