Anabantidae adalah keluarga ikan bersirip kipas dalam ordo Anabantiformes.[2] Famili ini mencakup sekitar 34 spesies ikan dalam empat genus. Sebagai ikan berlabirin, mereka memiliki organ labirin, yakni struktur di kepala ikan yang memungkinkannya menghirup oksigen atmosfer. Ikan dari famili ini biasanya terlihat menelan udara di permukaan air. Udara ditahan dalam struktur yang disebut ruang suprabranchial, tempat oksigen berdifusi ke dalam aliran darah melalui epitel pernapasan yang menutupi organ labirin. Oleh karena itu memungkinkan ikan untuk bergerak dalam jarak kecil melintasi daratan.
