Antelmintik

Antelmintik adalah golongan obat yang dapat mematikan atau melumpuhkan cacing dalam usus manusia atau hewan penyebab penyakit cacingan sehingga cacing dapat dikeluarkan bersama-sama dengan kotoran.[1]

Jenis

Jenis antelmintik dapat dibagi menjadi dua, yaitu:[2]

  • Organik—dapat berasal dari dedaunan;
  • Sintesis—berasal dari obat sintetis dapat menimbulkan beberapa efek samping yang merugikan seperti timbulnya parasit cacing yang resisten dan residu antelmintik pada produk asal hewan.
