Apate

Apate (bahasa Yunani: απάτη) adalah putri dari Nyx dan Erebus dalam mitologi Yunani. Dia adalah dewi penipuan, kebohongan, dan tipu muslihat. Apate merupakan salah satu sosok jahat yang dilepaskan dari kotak Pandora. Dia sering disamakan dengan Fraus, Dewi penipuan dalam mitologi Romawi. Saudara-saudaranya yaitu: Geras (Dewa penuaan), Oizys (Dewi penderitaan), Moros (Dewa ajal), Momus (Dewa ejekan), Eris (Dewi perselisihan), Nemesis (Dewi pembalasan), dan Ker (Dewi pembantaian dan kematian yang menyakitkan). Dia adalah teman dari Pseudologos (Dewa kebohongan) dan merupakan kebalikan dari Aletheia (Dewi kejujuran).
