Apedemak

Apedemak atau Apademak adalah dewa prajurit berkepala singa yang dipuja oleh orang-orang Nubia di Kerajaan Meroë. Sejumlah kuil yang dipersembahkan untuk dewa ini telah dibangun di Naqa, Meroë, dan Musawwarat es-Sufra (yang diduga merupakan pusat pemujaan Apedemak). Di kuil Naqa yang dibangun oleh penguasa-penguasa Meroë, Apedemak digambarkan sebagai dewa singa berkepala tiga dengan empat tangan[1] dan juga sebagai ular berkepala singa. Namun, ia biasanya digambarkan sebagai manusia dengan kepala singa.

Apedemak adalah dewa yang tidak berperan besar dalam agama Mesir Kuno karena merupakan produk budaya Meroë.
