Arabia Timur dikenal sebagai Bahrain bersejarah (bahasa Arab: البحرين) hingga abad ke-18. Wilayah ini membentang dari Basra melalui pesisir Teluk Persia dan termasuk pula wilayah Bahrain, Kuwait, Al-Hasa, Qatif, Uni Emirat Arab, Qatar, Irak Selatan, dan Oman Utara. Seluruh garis pantai Arabia Timur dikenal sebagai “Bahrain” selama sepuluh abad.[1]

Negara-negara Arab di Teluk Persia berada dalam wilayah Arabia Timur,[2][3]
