Argentavis adalah sebuah genus teratornithidae punah yang diketahui dari tiga situs di Formasi Epecuén dan Andalhualá di Argentina barat laut yang berasal dari kala Miosen Akhir (Huayquerium).[1] Burung ini, terkadang disebut sebagai Teratorn Raksasa, adalah spesies burung yang sudah punah, yang hanya diketahui dari 3 situs. Burung ini hidup pada kala Miosen Akhir, di Argentina barat laut dan tengah. Burung ini adalah predator purba di masa Miosen Akhir.[2]

Genus ini menjadi jenis burung terbang terberat. Sebelumnya, dianggap juga sebagai jenis burung dengan rentang sayap terbesar, hingga penemuan Pelagornis sandersi menyalip rekor Argentavis, dengan perkiraan rentang sayap yang menunjukkan ukuran 20% lebih panjang dari Argentavis.[3][4]
