Aristideae adalah satu-satunya trib dalam subfamili monotipe Aristidoideae dari famili rumput sejati Poaceae. Anggotanya merupakan tumbuhan herba semusim atau menahun yang ditemukan di zona tropis, subtropis, dan sedang.[1] Trib ini memiliki lebih dari 300 spesies dalam tiga genus:[1] Subfamili ini adalah anggota dari klade PACMAD rumput-rumputan, yaitu kelompok evolusioner tempat fotosintesis C4 berevolusi secara independen beberapa kali.[2]
