Atherigona atau lalat bibit adalah sekelompok lalat kecil yang memiliki sekitar 220 spesies dan sebagian anggotanya merupakan hama penting dan merusak pada pertanaman, terutama pada serealia.[1]

Lalat bibit bertelur pada bagian pangkal daun muda tumbuhan rumput-rumputan, dan larvanya memakan pangkal daun serta titik tumbuh yang lunak. Serangan ini berakibat fatal pada tanaman yang tidak mampu membentuk anakan (tiller) dan praktis tanaman akan mati. Lalat bibit terutama menjadi hama penting pada pertanaman jagung dan sorgum.
