Autar Singh Paintal M.D. Ph.D. (24 September 1925 – 21 Desember 2004)[2] adalah seorang ilmuwan kedokteran yang mempelopori penemuan dalam bidang neurosains dan ilmu pernapasan.
Ia adalah seorang murid kehormatan dan menjalani pendidikan pasca kelulusannya dalam bidang Fisiologi dari King George Medical College, Lucknow.
