BTR-40

BTR -40 (БТР, dari Бронетранспортёр, atau Bronetransporter, secara harfiah berarti "pengangkut lapis baja".) adalah kendaraan pengangkut personel lapis baja dan kendaraan pengintai non-amfibi Soviet. Ia sering disebut sebagai Sorokovka dalam dinas Soviet. Ini juga merupakan APC Soviet pertama yang diproduksi secara massal. Peran APC akhirnya digantikan oleh BTR-152 dan peran mobil pengintai oleh BRDM-1.[1][2]
