Bahasa Abui
Bahasa Abui adalah sebuah bahasa Papua yang dipertuturkan di Pulau Alor bagian tengah dan barat, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur.[3]
Klasifikasi
Abui adalah anggota dari bahasa Alor-Pantar, dalam rumpun bahasa Timor-Alor-Pantar.[4] Berdasarkan inovasi konsonan fonologis bersama, Abui adalah bagian dari subgrup Alor bersama dengan Blagar, Adang, Klon, Kui, Kamang, Sawila, dan Wersing.[4] Bertentangan dengan klaim sebelumnya, masih belum ada bukti konklusif yang menghubungkan bahasa Timor-Alor-Pantar dengan rumpun Trans-New-Guinea.
