Bakteriuria

Bakteriuria merupakan kondisi adanya bakteri pada urin yang seharusnya bebas dari bakteri. Ia menjadi indikator valid bahwa terdapat kolonisasi bakteri pada traktus urinaria. Bakteriuria dapat bergejala maupun tidak bergejala.[1] Dikatakan bakteriuria jika didapatkan lebih dari 105 cfu (colony forming unit) per mL pada pengambilan contoh urin porsi tengah, sedangkan contoh urin melalui aspirasi suprapubik dikatakan bakteriuria bermakna jika didapatkan >103 cfu per mL.[2]
