Barros Jarpa adalah roti lapis populer di Chili yang isiannya berupa ham dan keju yang meleleh.[1] Nama tersebut diambil dari salah satu perdana menteri Chili di abad ke-19 yang bernama Ernesto Barros Jarpa, dan diciptakan di restoran Kongres Nasional Chili, di mana Barros Jarpa selalu memesan roti lapis ini.[2] Ini adalah turunan dari roti lapis Barros Luco.

Sepupu sang menteri, presiden Ramón Barros Luco, meminta roti lapis dengan daging sapi dan keju, roti lapis yang kemudian disebut Barros Luco. Barros Jarpa merasa kombinasi ini sulit dimakan, jadi ia mengganti daging sapi dengan ham.
