Bayonet M9 yang secara resmi dinamai sebagai M9 Prohibis III adalah pisau serbaguna dan diadaptasi menjadi bayonet pada 1986 oleh Amerika Serikat. Pisau ini memiliki panjang bilah 18 cm (7 inci).

Sejarah

Bayonet M9 dengan sarung terpisah dapat digunakan sebagai alat pemotong kawat yang efektif.

Bayonet M9 didesain dan dikembangkan oleh Charles A. "Mickey" Finn di perusahaan risetnya, Qual-A-Tec.[1][2][3] Pisau ini menyalin desain bayonet dari AKM 6H3.[4] Ia kemudian memproduksinya dengan nama Prohibis III lalu mengisi kontrak militer untuk diproduksi sebanyak 325.000 unit. Buck Knives dikontrak untuk membuat 300.000 unit dan menjual versi komersial dengan nama mereka sendiri.
