Benjamin Spooner Briggs (24 April 1835 – tampaknya November 1872) adalah seorang pelaut dan marinir ulung Amerika Serikat berpengalaman. Ia adalah kapten kapal dagang Mary Celeste, yang ditemukan tanpa awak dan mengapung di tengah Samudera Atlantik antara Azores dan pantai Portugal pada 4 Desember 1872. Sekocinya hilang, tetapi Mary Celeste sendiri masih berlayar. Benjamin Briggs, istrinya Sarah, dan putri mereka yang berusia dua tahun Sophia Matilda tak pernah ditemukan dan diyakini hilang, bersama dengan kru Mary Celeste.
