Beraktant adalah surfaktan paru sapi yang dimodifikasi yang mengandung ekstrak paru bovinae (fosfolipid, lipid netral, asam lemak, dan protein surfaktan bovinae), yang ditambahkan DPPC sintetis, tripalmitin, dan asam palmitat. Komposisi tersebut menyediakan 25 mg/mL fosfolipid; 0,5 hingga 1,75 mg/mL trigliserida; 1,4 hingga 3,5 mg/mL asam lemak bebas; dan <1,0 mg/mL total protein surfaktan.[1] Sebagai suspensi intratrakeal, dapat digunakan untuk pencegahan dan pengobatan sindrom gangguan pernapasan neonatal.[2] Survanta diproduksi oleh Abbvie.
