Birán adalah sebuah desa di Provinsi Holguín, Kuba. Birán dikenal sebagai tempat kelahiran dari tiga bersaudara keluarga Castro yakni Ramón Castro (1924), Fidel Castro (1926), dan Raúl Castro (1931). Ayah mereka, Ángel Castro y Argiz, memiliki sebuah perkebunan seluas 9.300 hektare (93 km²) di sana.[2][3]

Birán terletak sekitar 30 kilometer (19 mi) sebelah barat daya Mayarí dan berjarak kurang lebih 9 kilometer (5,6 mi) sebelah selatan Cueto, di kaki bukit Pegunungan Nipe (Sierra de Nipe).
