Bloodbath adalah sebuah grup musik death metal dari Swedia yang dibentuk pada tahun 2000. EP pertama mereka yang berjudul Breeding Death menampilkan Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth) pada vokal, Dan Swanö (Edge of Sanity, Nightingale, dll) pada drums, Anders "Blakkheim" Nyström (Katatonia, Diabolical Masquerade) pada gitar dan Jonas Renkse (Katatonia, October Tide) pada bass. Pada 2004 Mikael Åkerfeldt hengkang dari Bloodbath untuk berkonsentrasi pada Opeth. Untuk menggantikannya, Bloodbath memilih Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy).
