Bot adalah skrip komputer yang beroperasi secara otomatis atau semi-otomatis dan dapat melakukan tindakan tertentu lebih efisien daripada manusia.

Bot Wikipedia adalah bot internet yang melakukan tugas-tugas di Wikipedia. Salah satu contoh dari bot semacam itu adalah Lsjbot, yang membuat jutaan artikel dalam berbagai edisi bahasa di Wikipedia.[1]

Kegiatan

Program-program komputer yang disebut bot sering kali dipakai untuk melakukan tugas sederhana dan berulang, seperti membetulkan kesalahan pengejaan umum dan masalah gaya tulis, atau membuat artikel seperti artikel tentang geografi dalam format standar dari data statistik.[2][3][4] Seorang kontributor kontroversial yang membuat artikel dengan bot miliknya membuat lebih dari 10.000 artikel di Wikipedia bahasa Swedia pada hari-hari tertentu.[5]
