Buang darah

Buang darah adalah penarikan darah dari seorang pasien untuk mencegah atau mengobati penyakit dan gejala. Baik lewat seorang dokter atau lintah, buang darah diklaim telah menjadi praktik pengobatan paling umum yang dilakukan oleh juru bedah dari zaman kuno sampai akhir abad ke-19.[1] Di Eropa, praktik tersebut masih relatif umum sampai akhir abad ke-18.[2] Praktik tersebut sekarang ditinggalkan oleh kedokteran gaya modern secara keseluruhan kecuali untuk beberapa kondisi paling spesifik.[3]
