Buat ulang

Buat ulang (bahasa Inggris: remake) adalah sebuah film, serial televisi, video game, lagu, atau bentuk hiburan serupa yang menceritakan kembali kisah produksi sebelumnya dalam media yang sama—misalnya, "versi baru dari film yang sudah ada".[1] Sebuah remake menceritakan kisah yang sama seperti aslinya, tetapi menggunakan pemeran yang berbeda, dan dapat mengubah tema atau mengubah latar cerita.[2][3] Istilah serupa adalah reboot, yang membuat ulang seluruh isinya dari awal.

Film

Istilah "remake" umumnya merujuk kepada sebuah film yang memakai film pada masa sebelumnya sebagai material sumber utama, ketimbang merujuk kepada film kedua yang berbasis pada sumber yang sama, contohnya film tahun 2001 Ocean's Eleven adalah sebuah remake dari Ocean's 11, sementara film tahun 1989 Batman adalah sebuah re-interpretasi dari material sumber buku komik yang juga menginspirasi film tahun 1966 Batman.
