Bureau of Land Management
Bureau of Land Management (BLM) adalah sebuah lembaga dalam Departemen Dalam Negeri Amerika Serikat yang mengelola tanah umum Amerika, seluas 264 juta ekar (1.070.000 km²) atau satu-per-delapan luas negara. Banyak tanah umum terletak di negara bagian barat. Dengan 9.000 karyawan permanen, dan lebih dari 1.000 sementara, pekerjaan dibagi menjadi 26.000 ekar (105 km²) per karyawan. Pendapatannya mencapai 1 miliar dolar tahun 2007 ($3.5 per ekar)($3.30 per oran).[1]
Misi BLM adalah melestarikan kesuburan, keragaman dan produktivitas tanah umum untuk digunakan dan dinikmati generasi saat ini dan yang akan datang.
