"Cake by the Ocean" adalah single perdana dari band asal Amerika Serikat, DNCE, dirilis pada 18 September 2015 dan ke radio pada 29 September 2015 melalui Republic Records.[2] Lagu ini dirilis sebagai single utama dari EP debut mereka, Swaay (2015)[3] dan juga termasuk dalam album debut studio mereka, DNCE (2016).
Lagu ini mencapai 10 besar di beberapa tangga lagu nasional termasuk di Australia, Kanada, Jerman, Inggris, dan Amerika Serikat. Ini juga memuncaki tangga lagu Airplay Billboard Adult Pop Songs dan telah mendapat sertifikasi Gold atau lebih tinggi oleh sejumlah asosiasi industri rekaman.

Latar belakang
Cake by the Ocean menceritakan tentang seorang pria yang menemukan wanita yang suka menyendiri. Lalu, si pria berusaha mengajak wanita tersebut agar lebih terbuka. Seiring berjalannya waktu, wanita tersebut diajak lebih bebas dan sering ikut berpesta.[6]
