Charles Shrem IV (lahir 25 November 1989)[1] adalah seorang pengusaha Amerika dan pendukung bitcoin.[2] Dia ikut mendirikan perusahaan startup BitInstant yang sekarang sudah tidak ada, dan merupakan anggota pendiri Bitcoin Foundation. Pada tahun 2014 ia dijatuhi hukuman dua tahun penjara karena membantu dan bersekongkol dengan operasi bisnis pengiriman uang tanpa izin yang terkait dengan pasar Silk Road. Dia dibebaskan dari penjara pada 2016. Pada 2017, dia bergabung dengan Jaxx dan menjabat sebagai chief operating officer, dan mendirikan penasehat cryptocurrency CryptoIQ.[3]
Kehidupan awal dan pendidikan
Shrem lahir dan dibesarkan di Brooklyn, New York dari sebuah keluarga Yahudi. adalah alumni Yeshivah of Flatbush, dan lulus dari Brooklyn College pada tahun 2012 dengan gelar Bachelor of Science di bidang Ekonomi dan Keuangan. Dia keturunan Syria-Yahudi.[4]
