Chela

Minuca pugnax, seperti pada anggota lainnya dari famili Ocypodidae, memiliki chela kiri yang besar dan chela kanan yang kecil.

Chela (/ˈkiːlə/) – umum dikenal sebagai capit  – adalah sebuah organ mirip capit yang berada pada ujung anggota gerak pada beberapa artropoda.[1] Namanya berasal dari kata Yunani Kuno χηλή, yang menjadi chela pada Neo-Latin. Jamak dari chela adalah chelae,[2] sementara kai yang memiliki chela disebut dengan cheliped.[3]

Chela dapat ditemukan pada ujung kaki artropoda maupun pedipalp mereka.[4] Chela berbeda dari chelicera pada laba-laba karena chela tidak memiliki kantong bisa, sehingga tidak bisa menyuntik bisa.
