Charles Thomas Close (5 Juli 1940 – 19 Agustus 2021) adalah seorang pelukis, seniman visual, dan fotografer Amerika Serikat. Ia membuat fotorealis skala besar dan potret abstrak dirinya dan orang lain. Close juga membuat potret foto menggunakan kamera dengan format yang sangat besar. Ia mengadaptasi gaya melukis dan metode karyanya terebut pada tahun 1988, setelah mengalami kelumpuhan akibat penyumbatan arteri tulang belakang anterior.
Istri pertamanya adalah Leslie Rose dan keduanya memiliki dua putri.[1][2] Mereka bercerai pada 2011 dan Close kemudian menikah dengan artis Sienna Shields.[3][4]
Ia meninggal dunia pada 19 Agustus 2021.[5]
