Rekonstruksi seniman Daeodon shoshonensis

Daeodon adalah sebuah genus punah ungulata berkuku genap entelodont (yang terbesar diantaranya,[1] dengan tinggi 1.77 m di pundak) yang hidup di Amerika Utara sekitar 23 sampai 20 juta tahun lalu selama kala Oligosen akhir hingga Miosen terawal. Spesies tipenya adalah D. shoshonensis, yang dideskripsikan oleh sebuah holotipe yang dapat dipertanyakan oleh Cope. Beberapa penulis menyamakannya (men-sinonim-kan) dengan Dinohyus hollandi dan beberapa spesies lainnya, tetapi karena kurangnya material penciri, hal ini dapat dipertanyakan.

Entelodont lainnya yang lebih besat daripada Daeodon adalah Paraentelodon dari Asia, namun genus ini diketahui dari sisa-sisa yang sangat tak lengkap.[2][3]
