Dancing Cross
Dancing Cross (Indonesian: Salib Menari) is a theological concept of the cross that originates from the Christian context in Bali, Indonesia. Dancing Cross is often typically used in many purposes, for example in cross necklaces, pyxes, ciboriums, etc., although it is not mainly considered as a major religious symbol representing a Christian cross in Indonesia.
The Dancing Cross is the interpretation of the cross through Balinese cultural approach. The cross itself is one part of the symbol or logo of the Protestant Christian Church in Bali (GKPB) which began to be used in 1977.
The GKPB logo was created by I Nyoman Darsana, a Christian Balinese artist.
