Dasyatidae atau Pari bersengat adalah sebuah keluarga ikan pari dalam ordo Myliobatiformes.[2] Mereka ditemukan di seluruh dunia, yakni di perairan laut tropis hingga sedang, dan sejumlah spesiesnya juga telah merambah ke air tawar di Afrika, Asia, dan Australia. Anggota famili ini memiliki cakram sirip dada pipih yang bervariasi, mulai dari berbentuk oval hingga berlian. Nama umum mereka berasal dari ekornya yang seperti cambuk, yang lebih panjang dari cakram dan tidak memiliki sirip punggung dan sirip ekor. Semua spesiesnya kecuali Urogymnus asperrimus memiliki satu atau lebih sengat berbisa di dekat pangkal ekornya, yang digunakan untuk sebagai alat pertahanan. Untuk menyengat korbannya, mereka menyentakkan ekornya saat sengatnya terlepas dan tetap berada di luka yang mereka buat. Alat penyengat ikan pari ini runcing dan tajam dengan ujung bergerigi. Ukurannya bervariasi, mulai dari 0,18 hingga 2,0 m atau lebih.
