Daughters of the Dust adalah sebuah film independen tahun 1991 yang ditulis, disutradarai dan diproduksi oleh Julie Dash dan merupakan film fitur pertama yang disutradarai oleh seorang wanita Afrika-Amerika yang didistribusikan ke layar lebar di Amerika Serikat.[1] Berlatar belakang tahun 1902, film tersebut mengisahkan cerita tiga generasi wanita Gullah (juga dikenal sebagai Geechee) dalam keluarga petani di Pulau Saint Helena saat mereka bersiap untuk bermigrasi ke utara dataran utama.
