Death Race 2050 adalah film Amerika Serikat produksi tahun 2017 bergenre satir politik laga yang disutradarai dan ditulis skenarionya oleh G.J. Echternkamp. Beberapa bintang yang bermain dalam film ini antara lain Manu Bennett, Marci Miller, dan Malcolm McDowell. Film ini merupakan sequel lanjutan dari Death Race 2000 yang pernah diproduksi pada tahun 1975. Produksi
Corman mendapatkan ide memproduksi sequel dari film Death Race 2000 ketika dia menjalani wawancara yang diminta oleh seorang pewarta Italia, yang menilai bahwa The Hunger Games memiliki kesamaan dengan film Death Race 2000[1] Corman contacted Universal Pictures who had produced the modern remake (which Corman felt had jettisoned too much of the political commentary of the original[3]) lalu mendiskusikan dengan mengangkat kembali satir gelap dari film aslinya. Corman mengatakan, "You did a good job, but you’ve taken out the killing of the pedestrians and the broken-society themes."[1]
Rilis

Menulis untuk ComingSoon.net, Chris Alexander menyebut film ini "loud, shrill, spastic, sadistic, stylish, slipshod, stupid and smart in equal measures."[2] Scott Weinberg mengulas film ini untuk Nerdist, dengan pernyataan "all very clunky and ramshackle and kitschy, but that’s just part of the “shaggy dog” charm of the production."[6]
