Dermanyssus gallinae (umum dikenal sebagai tungau ayam atau tungau merah) adalah sebuah spesies tungau ektoparasit hematofag pada ayam. Spesies ini telah diakui sebagai vektor beberapa penyakit patogenik besar.[1][2] Meski nama umumnya demikian, tungau ini memiliki beragam jenis inang lainnya seperti beberapa spesies burung liar dan mamalia, termasuk manusia. Di manusia, tungau ini dapat menyebabkan kondisi yang bernama gamasoidosis.[3][4] Bentuk dan ukurannya mirip Ornithonyssus sylviarum.[5]
