Dipeptidase E (EC 3.4.13.21, aspartil dipeptidase, peptidase E, produk gen PepE (Salmonella typhimurium)) adalah sebuah enzim.[1][2] Enzim ini mengkatalisis reaksi kimia berikut:
- Dipeptidase E mengkatalisis hidrolisis dipeptida Asp!Xaa. Enzim ini tidak bekerja pada peptida dengan N-terminal Glu, Asn, atau Gln, dan tidak memutus ikatan peptida isoaspartil.
Gugus karboksi bebas tidak mutlak diperlukan dalam substrat.
