Douglas Adams
Douglas Noël Adams (11 Maret 1952 – 11 Mei 2001) adalah seorang penulis dan musikus Inggris. Ia dikenal sebagai penulis seri Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Hitchhiker's dimulai di radio, dan berkembang menjadi lima buku yang terjual 15 juta kopi dalam masa hidupnya. Selain itu seri ini juga diangkat ke layar TV, film, permainan komputer, dan komik.
Selain The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams menulis tiga cerita untuk film seri televisi Doctor Who, dan bekerja sebagai penyunting naskah dalam tahun ke-17. Ia juga menulis novel-novel Dirk Gently, Liff, dan Last Chance to See. Adams juga menciptakan dan mengarahkan permainan komputer Starship Titanic , dikembangkan oleh perusahaan The Digital Village. Adams adalah aktivis lingkungan hidup, pecinta mobil, kamera, dan komputer Macintosh.
