Drosera margaritacea adalah spesies tumbuhan embun matahari yang endemik di wilayah Kimberley, Australia Barat. Spesies ini pertama kali dideskripsikan oleh Thilo Krueger dan Andreas Fleischmann pada tahun 2021.[1] Seperti anggota Drosera sect. Arachnopus lainnya, tanaman ini merupakan terofit tahunan.[2]

Epitet spesifik margaritacea berasal dari bahasa Latin margaritaceus yang berarti 'seperti mutiara / mengandung mutiara'. Nama ini merujuk pada kelenjar lendir bertangkai berwarna putih susu yang unik, yang ditemukan pada petiola pendek spesies ini, dan juga pada pembengkakan membulat di ujung konektif anter.[3]
