Duncan James (lahir 7 April 1978) adalah seorang penyanyi profesional asal Inggris. Ia merupakan mantan anggota dari boyband BritPop Blue, dan kini menjalani profesi sebagai penyanyi solo.

Profil

James tumbuh di Devon dan dibesarkan terutama oleh ibunya dan kakek setelah ayahnya meninggalkan ibunya sebelum ia dilahirkan.[1] Pada tahun 2000, James bersama Antony Costa, Lee Ryan, dan Simon Webbe membentuk grup musik Blue yang beraliran R&B-pop.[2] Di bulan Mei 2001, grup ini mengeluarkan singel pertama yang berjudul All Rise. Di bulan Okrober 2004, James berkolaborasi bersama Keedie dengan merilis singel I Believe My Heart, yang menempati posisi puncak 2 pada UK singles chart.[3]

Kehidupan pribadi

Menurut sebuah wawancara yang ia berikan kepada Gabby Logan pada BBC Radio 5 Live pada tanggal 28 Juli 2007, ia adalah cucu buyut dari Herbert Chapman, manager klub sepak bola Arsenal F.C. pada era 1930-an . Pada tanggal 12 Juli 2009, James dalam wawancara bersama News of the World mengaku bahwa dirinya adalah seorang biseksual.[4] Dan dalam wawancara bersama majalah New! pada tanggal 27 April 2010, Lee Ryan mengatakan bahwa ia pernah melakukan akvifitas seksual bertiga (threesome) James.[5]
