Earth Simulator (ES) adalah superkomputer tercepat di dunia dari 2002 sampai 2004, terletak di "Earth Simulator Center" (ESC) di Kanazawa-ku (ward), Yokohama, Jepang. Komputer ini mampu melakukan 35,86 triliun penghitungan/operasi floating-point per detik, atau 35,86 TFLOPS.

Sistem ini dikembangkan untuk NASDA, JAERI, dan JAMSTEC pada 1997 untuk simulasi iklim. Pembuatan dimulai pada Oktober 1999 dan diselesaikan pada Februari 2002, dan tempatnya resmi dibuka pada 11 Maret 2002. Projek ini menghabiskan biaya 7,2 miliar yen. Earth Simulator disusul oleh prototipe Blue Gene/L IBM pada 29 September 2004.

Dibuat oleh NEC, ES dibuat berdasarkan arsitektur NEC SX-6. Dia terdiri dari 640 node dengan delapan prosesor vektor dan 16 gigabyte memori komputer di setiap node, dengan total 5.120 prosesor dan 10 terabyte memori. Dua node dipasang dalam kabinet berukuran 1 x 1,4 x 2 meter. Setiap kabinet menghabiskan tenaga 20 KVA. Sistem ini memiliki 700 terabutye penyimpanan disk (450 untuk sistem dan 250 untuk pengguna) dan 1,6 petabyte penyimpanan massal dalam drive tape. ES hampir lima kali lebih cepat dari IBM ASCI White.
