Edward Matthew Lauter Jr. (/ˈlɔːtər/ [1] 30 Oktober 1938 – 16 Oktober 2013) adalah seorang aktor dan komedian stand-up Amerika Serikat. Dia muncul di lebih dari 200 film dan episode serial TV dalam karier yang membentang lebih dari 40 tahun.[2]

Pada tanggal 16 Oktober 2013, dua minggu sebelum ulang tahunnya yang ke-75, Lauter meninggal karena mesothelioma, suatu bentuk kanker yang langka, yang telah didiagnosis lima bulan sebelumnya pada bulan Mei.[3][4]
