Efek Bambi

Seekor rusa ekor putih, spesies dari karakter utama film animasi tahun 1942 karya Walt Disney berjudul Bambi.

"Efek Bambi" adalah sebuah pertentangan terhadap pembunuhan hewan-hewan yang dianggap "imut" atau "menggemaskan", seperti rusa, sementara hanya sedikit atau bahkan tidak ada penentangan terhadap penderitaan para hewan yang dianggap menjijikan atau kurang diinginkan, seperti babi dan hewan-hewan hutan lainnya.[1]

Merujuk kepada bentuk antropomorfisme,[2] istilah tersebut terinspirasi dari film animasi tahun 1942 karya Walt Disney Bambi, dimana titik emosional tingkat tingginya adalah kematian induk dari karakter utama di tangan antagonis film tersebut, seorang pemburu yang hanya dikenal sebagai "Man".[3][4][5]
