Efek spoiler

Spoiler (bahasa Inggris: spoiler dari spoil "merusak") adalah calon atau partai dalam pemilihan yang tidak memiliki peluang untuk menang, tetapi menarik sebagian suara dari calon lain dengan simbol atau program yang serupa, sehingga meningkatkan peluang kemenangan calon dengan posisi yang berlawanan[1].

Partisipasi partai politik "spoiler" yang tidak melakukan kampanye sendiri tetapi terdaftar dalam surat suara dapat bertujuan untuk membingungkan sebagian pemilih dan secara efektif mengurangi jumlah suara partai-partai dengan nama yang mirip.
