Electronic Chart Display and Information System
Electronic Chart Display & Information System (ECDIS) adalah sistem navigasi informasi berbasis komputer yang sesuai dengan peraturan International Maritime Organization (IMO) dan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif untuk kertas grafik bahari. IMO mengacu pada sistem serupa tidak memenuhi peraturan sebagai Electronic Chart System (ECS).
Sebuah sistem ECDIS menampilkan informasi dari navigasi elektronik grafik (ENC) atau Digital Nautical Chart (DNC) dan mengintegrasikan informasi posisi dari posisi, pos dan kecepatan melalui sistem referensi air dan sensor navigasi opsional lainnya. Sensor lain yang dapat antarmuka dengan ECDIS adalah radar, NAVTEX, Automatic Identification System (AIS), Pelayaran Arah dan fathometer.
