Elias Magnus Fries FRS FRSE FLS (15 Agustus 1794 – 8 Februari 1878) adalah seorang mikologis dan botanis Swedia. Ia terkadang disebut "Linnaeus dari Mikologi".[1] Dalam karya-karyanya, ia mendeskripsikan dan menyematkan nama botani pada ratusan spesies jamur dan lumut kerak, kebanyakan diantaranya masih dipertahankan sampai saat ini.
