Elissa Rhaïs, (Hebrew: אליסה ראיס, nee Rosine Boumendil) (12 Desember 1876 – 18 Agustus 1940) adalah seorang penulis berdarah Yahudi-Aljazair, yang mengadopsi kepribadian seorang wanita Muslim, yang melarikan diri dari harem untuk melanjutkan karier sastranya. Novel-novelnya populer di masa hidupnya, tetapi ditolak; minat dalam hidupnya dihidupkan kembali pada 1980-an dengan klaim bahwa semua publikasinya dianggap memakai penulis bayangan serta fakta bahwa dia buta huruf.[1]
