Eureptilia ("reptil sejati") adalah salah satu dari dua klad utama dari Sauropsida, yang satunya lagi Parareptilia. Eureptilia mengandung tidak hanya semua Diapsida, tetapi juga beberapa reptil Permo-Karbon primitif yang diklasifikasikan sebagai Anapsida, dari ordo lama (yang sudah tidak dikenal) "Cotylosauria"
Semua eureptilia primitif berukuran kecil, berbentuk seperti kadal secara dangkal, yang mungkin berlari pada tumbuhan bawah Paleozoikum mencari serangga. Diapsida merupakan satu-satunya klad eureptilia yang berlanjut melebihi periode Permian. Eureptilia dicirikan dengan tengkorak yang memiliki tulang supraoksipital, tabular, dan supratemporal yang sangat berkurang yang tidak lagi bersentuhan dengan postorbital.
Klasifikasi
Eureptilia didefinisikan sebagai klad berbasis batang, khususnya, klad paling inklusif yang mengandung Captorhinus aguti dan Petrolacosaurus kansensis tetapi tidak Procolophon trigoniceps, oleh Tsuji dan Müller (2009).[1] Kladogram ini dimodifikasi setelah Muller dan Reisz (2006):[2]
